St. Vincent Charity Educational Seminar

Hi, I have done a ton of research and I know that I want to go through with the WLS. I am going to my educatioal seminar next monday and I just had a few questions. I have been reading a bunch of sergeon reviews in the last few weeks and I think I may have decided on St. Vincent, however I am nervous about my first appointment because people kept reading that they went into the appointment with a list of questions, and I do not have that list. I feel like I am very weel educated about WLS, however am wondering if I am missing something...so i was wondering if anyone would be willing to share the questions that they asked and thier responce to the education seminar. Thanks so much... Oh yeah...do I hae to dress up to go to this, of is it casual comfortable?

Hi, I am going to the St Vincent seminar next monday evening also. The seminar is casual/comfortable. I do not have any questions either, I have been researching for 2 yrs now, and I have been lurking on this site for a little while. I'm sure once we attend the seminar, things will come about that we need answered. Sorry I couldn't give you any ideas but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Debbie

Coleen, Take paper and pen with you, they will explain the process, pre and post-op. That is a good time to write down anything specific that comes to mind. I didn't have any questions at that time. I would recommend the program though. Good luck, Doug

Hi Colleen, I agree with Doug, just bring pen/paper if any questions come to mind during the siminar. I didnt have any questions either, I think because I had researched it really well myself. It is totally casual, as if you were going to the movies! ( strange way to answer, I know LOL). I highly recommend St. V's, they have an excellent program. I had surgery 9/26/06 with Dr. Ben-Meir and am down 84 pounds! Yea! Good luck on your venture... Michelle
