Hello,
I am having some issues and my surgeon has never been good at giving me information. This has
been a big disspointment as there has been a number of issues that he has not shared with me
even after asking. He did a great job on the surgery which worked very well for me but I wish
he would answer my questions which I have only asked a handfull of times since my surgery.
Anyway I am just over six months out and have lost over eighty pounds. I am just under 200 pounds
now and very close to my ideal weight. I am 6' 1/2".
The problem I have is that my stomach seems larger for my waist and it seems "hard" when I touch
it. Also there is a protrusion about three inches above my belly button. I would like to know if
that is common or not. I really am concerned about this. My regular doctor put me on some pills
a week ago thinking I have some fluid build-up. I don't know what is going on. Has anyone had
this happen to them????????????????
I also am having a heck of a time keeping my pants up............This is a problem as well. I
do not want to wear suspenders. I don't have much of a butt I guess........any suggestions here?
Thanks a lot for your time and I hope all of you are doing great. Please get back to me if you
have time. My email is [email protected]

I am NOT a doctor but It sounds like you may have a Hernia that usually causes protrusion in the stomach, at least I know it does with my stomach. I have a small periumbilical hernia and my stomach is slightly swelled in that area. Maybe ask your doc if it could be a hernia. Again i'm no doctor so keep bugging your surgeon till he give you some kind of answer. Good luck and keep us updated.

My surgeon told me Hernias are very common after WLS surgery.
