Dr. Curry, question about MGB

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I have been here everyday for about 2 months reading as much as I could. I have been hearing alot about the mini gastric bypass on another site. I'm wondering what Dr. Curry feels about this or anyone else who would like to comment. I have read the cost of this $17,000. and the surgery time is about 30 mins. Just wondering what everyone thinks. Thank you.

Nancy, The MGB has not been well accepted by bariatric surgeons because of concerns over bile being able to reflux up into the pouch. Besides, I can do a regular bypass laparoscopically in 45 minutes, so I don't see what the advantage is. Dr. C
