No Ulcers!
Well, I had my encoscopy today because my surgeon felt that some pain I've been having was caused from some ulcers in the duodenim. (I had some there diagnosed in 2004.) Well, happily everything lloks good NO ulcers! So, I can still have the RNY procedure I originaaly wanted. The only issue at this point is that I still do not know why I am having the pain I have. I believe, even though the ultrasound showed no stones, that my gall bladder is sludgy. Every woman in every generation of my family has had to have theirs out. I am thinking of asking him to please find a reason to take it during surgery. Oh, I also have a small hiatal hernia, but he said that can't be causing my pain. (Why not?) He also noted a little bit of gastritis. (Dunno what that means.) Anyhow, I am glad that I am ulcer free and still on track. Just waiting for them to submit insurance now. hugs, Karen

Gastritis is an inflamation of the lining of the stomach sometimes caused by H Pylori according to the website I read on the american college of gastoenterology. Thats just what I read don't know anything other than that. I am very glad that you don't have Ulcers and you'll be able to have the RNY. Good luck in your journey and may god bless
