Surgeon visit today

Hi again all, just wanted to give a little update. I went and saw my WLS surgeon today about my hernia he said yes you definetly have one. He said we can go ahead and do the surgery next week or we can wait a little bit till you loose some more weight, he left it totally up to me. I think i'm gonna wait about 6 more weeks if I can tolerate the pain, cause I'm having carpel tunnel surgery the 26th of this month so I don't wanna do 2 surgeries so close together. He did say that my spleen is definetly bigger than it should be, so continue to have my PCP do bloodwork and stuff to figure whats causing that. I'm down 123lbs in 7 months he said thats a little bit behind but I'm still doing good I should just get back on track and follow the eating habits to the tee. Which I have'nt been BUT I'm GONNA start again. I told him I would like to at least get down to 295 and he said thats a good goal for me cause i'm 6'3" and big boned. So if I get to that weight I only need to loose 46lbs but i'm gonna plug for more than that. Jim

Jim, Glad to hear from you! Had you gotten any lab results so far about your spleen? I'm happy that you don't have to have surgery right away if you don't want to. I do understand how annoying a hernia can be! Please keep us updated, thanks for "checking in" God bless, Karen
