Medicare question

Has anyone had any luck with Medicare covering plastic surgery following weight loss.

Hello! I have not had my surgery as of yet and I do not have Medicaid. BUT, perhaps you would get some more responses to that particular question if you look above and click on Forums and then click on the plastic surgery section to get to their board. Maryann I know if your having hernia repair and the doc adds a little tummy tuck they'll pay for it. But i'm not sure if they pay for it straight out thats a good question i'll have to ask when I go back to the doc tuesday cause I'm on Medicare to. Jim

Maryann I ask my Surgeon today and he said NO medicare will not pay for a TT it's considered cosmetic not medically neccessary. Hope that helps some and good luck with your attempts to get it allowed Jim
