Is it time?

To start writnig letters to the "incoming" state politicians regarding exclusions for WLS coverage? I don't expect much, as the very profitable insurance lobby has a lot of cash to spread around to both major political parties, but maybe it's time. Is anyone here knowledgable about anything going on to this end in Ohio? Thanks, Doug

It's always time Doug! But I know they are passing legislation on broadening mental health coverage (which is a long time past due) so, unfortunately, I'm doubtful another "special" group would be able to lobby to make insurance companies spend money for the forseeable future. However, you never know. Politics being how they are, if just one politician is personally affected by an issue, they can pu**** pretty far. Maybe someone more eloquent than I could post a sample letter on their profile page? Joan

I'm with Doug on this one...if this were any disease other than obesity we were talking about there would be public outcry over the lack of coverage. It's beyond ridiculous... Dr. C
