port site pain

Hi All, I had surgery 12/4 and all pain around my port had subsided. When I woke up Sat morning I was so sore. I thought I had slep on my port or something. Now it is still sore and it hurts real bad if I take a deep breath in. I wonder if I over did it at work Fri or what? Has anyone else had this problem? Sherrie

Sherrie, I doubt this a sign of anything serious, at worst a pulled stitch. Dr. C

Sherrie!!!!! How are you (besides the horrific pain)??? Don't worry about it - mine still hurts occasionally. Sometimes when I sleep wierd or do too much - like cleaning the house (I've tried to get out of it - Dave says I can't play the "surgery" card anymore.) Wasn't it nice of Dr. Curry to post? My friend was his 2nd lap band ever (Marcy Huff) - she ADORES him! Anyway - I wonder if Dr. F will ever post (he-he). So, are your pants falling down to your knees yet? How are the liquids coming?

Hey Carrie! My port pain is better, thank god. I really just think I over did it at work. I'm off until 1/2. It's given me time to relax. I'm still holding at 222 (19 lbs since surgery). Haven't lost much since the holidays started. My pants haven't fell to my knees yet Liquids? not..... I did have my first french fry yesterday and it got stuck. I won't do that again.
