Dayton - January surgery

I will have my surgery in January - looking for anyone with experience as a patient of Clarey/Bruce and opinions on Grandview/Southview. Thanks :-S

You have wonderful Drs . I had Dr Bruce. He did wonderful with me. I am at goal at now 153 down from 272 no loose skin and had open surgery. I need no other surgerys except excercising and toning. I do that all the time. Your going to do great. And your in very safe hands. I was at grandveiw and had one nighttime nurse she was a nightmare. I wish i had picked southveiw instead. The hospital stay wasnt very comfortable. I had to do alot by myself at night time. do to lack of help. It was quite scary for me especailly since I have chf and my lungs was getting conjested. and the nighttime nurse ignored me. When i was needing respitory ,and I was leaking fluid all over the place. I was soak and wet. No help. hAd to do allot on my own at night.. I was so scared I cryed. Best wishes Barb

My Mom's friend had surgery there and LOVED it. I am not sure who did her surgery but I know she had it at Grandview and absolutely loved it.

I just had my surgery done on November 8 and Dr Clarey did mine you will get both of them they work as 2 so if you have Dr clarey you will have Dr Bruce as asst surgeon and if you have Dr Buce as main Surgeon you will have Dr clarey as the asst surgeon so either way there will be 2 surgeons in the operating room with you ,,, they are both just great I had Clarey as my main surgeon and Dr Bruce asst. her but he is very good too.. hope it helps
