Well I went to the doctor on Monday and have lost 43lbs. So I am down to 229lbs by the doctor's scale and that's the least I have weighed in my whole adult life on a doctor's scale. The suckiest part is my body has changed I guess after the last 3 kids and I still can't get into the pants I wore when I was 10lbs more about 10 years ago.. But give me a month or so... Everyone says they can tell and somedays I can too, I look in the mirror and can't stop looking at the jawline and cheek bones I have now...Other days I look in the mirror and see the fat face staring at me...My legs, which were skinny to begin with are sticks now and that's the first thing everyone comments on.. I have quite a bit of wows...I have shoulder bones now that I can feel..When I sit in the tub it's not as enjoyable because my tail bone hurts from sitting on the hard tub..I can cross my legs (I don't remember ever being able to do that)....My 7 year old daughter used to say things to me about why me and her sister and aunt (on her dad's side) weren't like other ladies..Because we were so big and other ladies are skinny. She would say I was still beautiful but looked different than other moms (that was a deciding factor in the surgery too) And the other day I was at the stove baking cookies and she said "are you skinny?" and I said why and she said "because you look skinny" That was something that she would notice when she sees me everyday... I still don't have much energy and can't walk too much but I try to move and get any kind of exercise I can.. On the days I can walk I try to walk as much as I can and on the days I can't I take a pain pill and do as much as I can. The belly skin that I thought would be a problem is not bothering me yet. It's the chin to neck piece of skin that I can see hanging that gets me. I feel so GOOD that I am on this side of the surgery.. I couldn't imagine how hard it would have been to still be fighting insurance..

Congratulations on doing so well in only 3 short months! Don't kids say the funniest (and most brutally honest) things? Pre-op mine told me, "You're the best FAT mommy in the world!" Ouch! Way to go! Darlene

Deb, Im so proud of you. Im glad your doing so great.. For the chin. I had that. Get good lotion keep on you face all the time. also do facail excercises. and do a \good toning mask to tighten your face at least once maybe twice a week. you will see a difference. I just turned 49 that was my scarest thing worrying about my double chins. I lopst it. I have a very small one that cant really be seen. That I am greatful for. Your still only 3 months out. Skin shrinks for 18 months. You will be fine. Im udating my pictures check them out. hugs barb
