How easy is it to reverse, generally? Do patients who get sick from it have trouble getting well enough for the takedown? Any RNY pts know about this?

Julie, It's not easy to reverse a RNY and riskier than the original RNY probably. I have yet to see anyone who had their RNY reversed have any of their problems solved. Dr. C

If you're looking for a revision, come on over to the DS board. We have a few happy Lapband to DS revisions over there.

Lap Band on 12/23/03

As you can see, I am a normal wt and do not need a revision, nor would I consider any of the malabsorbtive procedures. I have done very well with my lapband and I see just as many ppl looking for revisions of RNY or want a lap band to be placed over their RNY pouch. In fact, I was asking about a RNY reversal for a woman I met who seems to think that RNY can easily be reversed as if it never even happened.
