Hello Ohio
Hi Tammy,
You and your little pup are so adorable!! I wish you all the best of luck as you go through this amazing transformation. One year from now you will be sitting here feeling so much healthier, stronger, and giving out the same tips you are hearing from everyone. The best thing I can tell you is be prepared pre op. Make sure you have done your shopping and have everything you need handy. This way you wont have to depend on anyone to run to the store and get what you need. Family and friends arent always the best judge of what we can tolerate in those early weeks. Keep excercising your upper arms and legs they will be stronger and help you move around so much better post op. Dont overpack for the hospital. Half of my things never made it out of the bag. I took Books and puzzles and was too woozy to worry about concentrating to do them.
Just know we are here for you and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers
Big Hugs from another loser
Laura
Tips - have some fluids in your house (bottled water, SF popsicles, crystal light togo packets, etc). be prepared to sleep in a recliner (I sent my husband to get one on my first day home!!) for a few nights. Take chapstick to the hospital (it was my most prized possession). Don't be afraid to ask for help in the hospital - you're giving them a lot of money - don't be intimidated if you need a nurse to help you in and out of bed....and most importantly...
GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!
