I need OH help

Hey Ohioans! I am looking for a suggestion. I recently got Anthem BCBS PPO and found out they didn't cover wls on that plan so I called Anthem and found out that wls was covered under the HMO plan. I waited a month for the change to take effect and now that it has I found out that the HMO doesn't cover wls either. That lady at Anthem lied to me Well now that I basically have no insurance to cover wls I don't know what to do. Does anyone have a private insurance that has payed for wls? Hi Kwaneeh, We have BCBS PPo and WLS surgery is covered for us, provided if it is a medical necessity. That is how it is set up through my husband's insurance. Who do you have your insurance through?, where you work? It all depends on the plan. Peggy

Yeah it depends on the plan the employer has opted to purchase. Obviously my husband's employer has taken the cheap way out. He works for a very prominant steel mill in Columbus. You would think they would cover just about everything. Go figure -kwaneeh

Sorry to hear that. I have BCBS Blue Access plan. It is covered. Try looking it up on their website too.
