Dr. Selwyn @ UC

Howdy Buckeyes! A neighboring Hoosier here- looking to have LapDS and there aren't any here in Indy. I see Dr. Selwyn at UC Center for Surgical Weight Loss does this procedure and he seems to have an impressive training background. Anyone no anything about him? Anyone have experience with this procedure with him? Thanks for the input! Kirsten

Brenda, not sure but, I hope you have spoken to Dr. Curry, he is the LapBand Guru in these parts. His office is in the medical Office building of Deaconess Hospital. Anyway, Good luck with whomever you pick though. Pam 314/124

Kirsten, Dr. Selwyn left University and moved to another state. I'm not sure he ever did any Lap DS's. Dr. C

Dr. Selwyn indeed did do lapbands and did them very well. He saved me following my lap band failure (from another surgeon) and did a fine job on my modified RNY. Unfortunately, he has moved to Wisconsin and is no longer in the area. My advise to you is to find a surgeon that does large volumes of surgeries at a center of excellence and does it almost exclusively lap. lap makes all the difference. 6 months and 93 pounds lighter..........
