Early Plateau

I am 4 weeks post op RNY. While I lost 14# during the first two weeks, I haven't lost anything over the past two. My daily calorie intake averages ~500, and I'm drinking the recommended amount of liquids. I am doing a medium amount of walking, but no other exercise at this point. I am wondering if the low number of calories is hindering my weight loss. Any ideas?

Hi Melinda, my name is Melinda too! I promise you that you will lose weight. Sometimes our body just needs to catch up. Be certain you are getting all your fluids and protein in. That fat will come off, don't stress yourself, Peace Melinda

I am 4 weeks out too. I have lost a total of 17 pounds but only 1 pound a week for the last 2 weeks. I am going to try smaller meals and walking more and see if that makes a difference. I get my protein in just about every day and I was told that I am doing OK with my liquids. Hang in there. 343/326/140
