I'm just stuck!

I am now 2 months and 1 day post-op. As of today I have been at the same weight for 7 days. I'm so scared. I haven't had any protein supplement for about a week because the supplement I ordered recently didn't agree with me. I tried it pre-op and liked it and now I don't. I'm waiting for some samples to come in the mail so I can find something a little more affordable then what I was using. Anyway, I'm just scared. Not losing any weight for 7 days seems like I've done something wrong. I shouldn't be stuck so early. I can't believe I've already screwed up my biggest chance at a new life. I feel horrible and scared and disappointed with myself. I only eat like 2 or 3 times a day but I should only be a t 4ounces and I think I've been doing probably six. I feel terrible because so many people want this chance at a new life and haven't been able to have it and I was fortunate enough to have the chance and I already ruined it all. I just wanna say thanks to all of you for letting me have somewhere to talk about all this. I don't feel like I can talk to anyone else even my support group because once again I've let everyone down. Thanks for listening everyone.

Crystal, I am so sorry that you are feeling so down. Any possible chance that you can make it to the OH conference this weekend in Cols.?? It would give you a chance to be around some amazing supportive people who will give you hugs and cheer you along.. You havent let anyone down and your body is just in a temporary holding pattern. Just give it a little time and you will have a significant weight loss.. I promise ya.. If you need to talk look me up.. Gentlle Hugs. Now Quit beating yourself up!! Laura

You haven't said how much you've lost. You are probaly just catching up to your lose. I'm about 10 weeks out and have had many stalls. My first was around 5 weeks I think. Do you record everything you eat. You can go to fitday.com and they have a free program where you can record your food. You need to relax and realize this is a journey. The scale will start moving again. I've found it goes and stops. I've been on a two week rest period right now and haven't lost anything. I've been playing with the same two pounts. But I think my clothes are getting bigger again. Hang in there. Dianna

First...I am sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad. Then...be patient, get back to protien, water, ect. and believe me you will lose again. I remember thinking and feeling some of the same things. I think it may be old "failure" stuff popping back up. I remember when I used to try to diet and would begin to lose weight, how good it felt. Only to be thrown back into the bad feelings when I would stop losing weight either because I couldn't stick to the "diet" or because, well it always happened. So when I would have stalls in my weight lose after WLS all those horrible feelings came flooding back. And yet one pound at a time I have lost over 100 pounds. You have not ruined your surgery. You will be fine. I know that does not help much with the feelings you are having right now but hang in there and know you are not alone. Take a bubble bath, go to the park or the beach or the mall. By the way, some day you will be shopping in the regular stores, so get familiar with them now. Maybe even apply for a GAP card or what ever store you think you may want to shop in. Good luck Madeline
