need ideas for patient 5 months post op
I use GNC ProPerformance Liquid Protein, punch flavor. It has 18 grms of protein in a 3 tablespoon serving. I mix it into a tall glass of Crystal Light and kill two birds with one stone. I drink it at least twice a day. I spent literally hundreds of dollars trying to find a protein powder or drink that I could tolerate. I hated them all. I finally gave up and just tried to eat my protein as much as I could. It wasn't until I was about 9 mos out that I discovered this product. Now, I can up my protein easily. I still eat protein forward as much as is possible, but I supplement with this. It is so easy. It doesn't taste good by itself, but in **** goes down so easy. In fact, I have come to like it so much now that I am preferring it to water, which is all I drank for the first 9 mos post op. I have heard, but can't verify, that if you don't like a GNC product they will take it back, so what have you got to lose--give it a shot! Good luck in finding what works for you. I know it is a struggle to find just the right thing.
What about Hank's Protein powder? I received samples from them and tried the chocolate I did mix it with milk, but you can mix it with water too. It was delicious.
