Hello everyone.. I have a 'month'

I just joined the board tonight and wanted to say hello to everyone. I am having my wls done in Akron and I have jumped thru all the hoops and need to wait until jan 15 to schedule because that is when I will have the $ for the dr's fee...I will prob have it in Jan though so can't wait!! There are many encouraging and inspirational people on here :-)

A Big Warm OH Welcome to you Miss Catherine.. I feel that second to having the WLS this group has been the best thing to happen to me along this journey. They have been with me as I struggled with the denials and finally the approval, the preop jitters, post op depression and the roller coaster ride of a lifetime. I cant imagine where I would be without this amazing group of ladies and gentlemen. I have found such love, support and acceptance here that helped me along the journey. This is indeed a journey, which you have just a small portion of the map.. Bits and pieces are missing and you must fill them in yourself.... Its not the "EASY way out, but just another way out.. Yes the pouch limits your food intake, but it is completly in your hands what goes into it. I hope and pray that you find your $$$ miracle and can have this life changing surgery done. We will ALWAYS be here for you.. When you are up we will shout from the mountain tops with you.. And when you have your down days we will jump down in the pit and carry you out.. Dont give up on us, and we will never give up on you.. Take care and again.. A Big old OH Welcome to you. By the way I have a habit of calling everyone Miss so and so.. I have worked with kids at headstart and after school programs for years and got so used to everyone calling me Miss Laura and all the other workers Miss _____.. So its a thing that stuck with me. Hi Catherine, We have the same surgeon. I am going there to see him this am. I have to have some pre op tests done then meet with Nut and nurse and I should have my date. I am thinking if all goes well I will have surgery the 1st of Dec. Do you go to the monthly support groups? I just love Dr Chylsta he is nice. I will update after my appt today. I added you as a friend too....

Hi.. I just now was able to find this post..ha I agree, Dr Chlysta is great! I sent you a message as well...wow, December 1st, so close, Congrats!! :c) I have gone to two of the meetings, one last year and one this year when I decided to start the process again. Last year I never received support from my husband who is now my ex-husband so I have been waiting for all this for a while now... hope to hear from you again, or maybe I'll even see you at the hospital sometime... Congrats again!
