I am on my way!!

Hello everyone, well I had my 1st diet counseling meeting today and all went well. I asked if there would be a problem with the Ins and she said that it would be fine that they will pay for the surgery all but about $2500 of it. So HOO RAY for that.Said that in about 6-7 weeks she will call up to OSU and give them my update and they will contact me then about my appt there with them and then meet the surgeron.So it was a very emotional day all in all.I work at a hospital (in ER) and I know my dietician already she and I worked once before 3 yrs ago, she is very helpful and understanding.We laughed I cried some but it was a good meeting. So now my journey is really beginning, I am excited and scared all at the same time if that is possiable.I know that with all the Holidays coming up that the time should go by fast, but I don't want it to go so fast that I forget all that I need to know to make my new tool a total success.I am so blessed that I have very supportive family and friends to lean on when I need to. anyway just wanting to post my good news. Good for you Jan! That's great! I went to my 3rd class last night. Didn't lose any but then didn't gain either. Has your PCP gotten the rest of your info in to OSU? Mine said they are waiting for all of my tests, then will send everything together. Oh how much are you supposed to lose? I think my target weight was somewhere around 210 lbs. That worries me, what if I lose to much? You don't think the insurance will turn the surgery down? Oh well, so many questions. Good Luck on your program! Peggy

I lost nothing I gained and lost the same 5 pounds. for 6 months. Blamed it on water. They know we are having the swurgery because we cant lose weight. I was appoved. All they are looking for is disapline Best Wishes Barb
