hunger?

Hi all! My name is Debbie and I have not had lap band surgery yet, but hope too very soon. I was reading the postings about drinking protein shakes and I was wondering, does the lap band actaully help curb hunger? I am trying to follow a high-protein diet right now and I cannot control my hunger! Thanks for your help!

Hi Debbie! As a 1 year bandster, I can tell you that YES! it sure does, after you're properly filled. You'll be able to eat a small meal & not feel hungry for 3-4 hours. Good luck on your banding!
