HIGHMARK BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD MMA

I was denied by BC/BS yesterday. They said it wasn't excluded, but it was not a covered service... is there anything I can do???

Hi Betsy, I would post this on the Insurance board to see if anyone over knows anything about this. Do you have a handbook from your employer and insurance co. explaning what is covered ect? I would definately read that over and see if maybe there might be a way around it. Good luck ... ((Hugs))

Betsy, So soory to hear about your denial from your insurance company. I would speak to your insurance person at work to see exactly what is covered. Each company is different. There may be something they can do for you at work. Good Luck, Peggy

I have a copy of Highmarks policy G-24 which explains their coverage of bariactric surgery...what exactly were you trying to get covered? You can request that they send you the policy also. Sarah
