25 days later and finally home!!
Well, this has been a LONG HARD journey for me. I had LAP RNY 9/26/06 and have lots of complications. I apparently am *rare* with all I have gone through and hope it stays that way. No one should have to go through all this, but on the high note, I am alive and well and home!!!! So glad to be home with my family...been a long time coming.
I had a bladder infection 3 days post op sx, them developed C-Diff ( a horrible infection in the intestines and colon), another week at the hospital, then on the day of discharge I had excruating pain in my stomach. Started Dry heaving from the pain, went though tons of tests and I had 2 blood clots. Very serious... I made it after 5 being in the care of 5 excellent doctors. I then got thrush and yeast infections...Then they thought I had pancreatitis and gall bladder problems. After scroping me from both ends and ultrasounds, I was fine with those organs.
I am home today on a blood thinner and will be monitored very close. I am 40 pounds lighter, but lost it not in the best way, but I am still here and hope to look back and see I made the right decision.
Glad to be back!
Michelle
Hi Michellle and welcome back. Im glad you are doing better and sorry to hear about your complications. Unfortuneately, with any surgery there are chaneces of complications, but Im glad you made it through. I will pray for you. Its hard to see anyone face any kinds of problems especially when they are doing this to improve their wellbeing. I hope that from here on out things will be better for you. Keep hanging in there and stay strong.
Take care of your self and keep us updated

Welcome back home. I'm sure it was hard to be away from your family so long. Glad to hear that you are feeling better. My fiance had blood clots move to his lungs this summer. It was a terrible experience. He is on blood thinner now for life. I had pancreatitis in 04 before I had my gallbladder out so I understand the pain you were in. Glad you are doing better. Keep us updated. ((Hugs))
