4 days till surgery..stressed
Shannon,
You will be in great hands. I know an OR nurse there that you may come in contact with. She assisted in my surgery. She made me feel like I was the only person there. Held my hand until I went to sleep. When you are in the OR, there are so many people you will see. And their focus is only on you. Everyone was so kind.
If you want I can e-mail the nurse manager on the floor you are going to be on.
And tell he you need extra TLC. But only if you allow me to do so. Her name is Marilyn and she's really a neat person.
I am now 10 weeks out today and I feel so good. This was the best thing I did for myself.
HUGS,
Gayle
Thank you Gayle
If she is who I think she is, I may have met her at the support group. If you want to contact her that is fine with me. Who doesnt need some extra TLC? lol I just hate stressing and worrying about my kids being taken care of. I know it will work out, cuz it has..just dont like going thru the ups and downs with everyone. Thanks for the thought
Shannon
I really want to thank Jenny, Mandi, M S, John, Rhonda, Jim and Gayle for their responses. They really meant a lot to me and has given me some relaxation. Also..anyone who thought about me but didnt respond..thank you very much also. I made it to Cleveland Friday..and all is well and ready to go. I start Clear Liquids today...what fun...and do my Fleet..yay
I have been trying not to worry about things. My youngest (16 months) needs to go to the Dr today because He has been running a fever all morning. It seems like an ear infection but not sure yet. Just as long as its not contagious and I dont end up sick..lol
I love the support from everyone. It makes things so Much easier to get through. As for visitors..I wont mind, because I like to see people visit..even if its only for a short time. Whenever Im in the hospital..I just tend to feel lonely.
Thanks again everyone for everything! You all are wonderful
Shannon
