Has anyone had experience with Med Mutual of Ohio Insurance recently???
My fiance has Med Mutual of Ohio and they have an exclusion for weight loss surgery. I believe it is something that the employer added probably to help bring down costs. I would call your insurance company and ask them if it is covered. You can also post this on the Insurance board. Not sure if there is a way around it. I have been trying to get mine appoved for two years, but I have a different insurance co. that does cover the surgery. ((Hugs))
They paid for my surgery. I think it depends on your group. My husband is with the cement masons group. The union... I had a hard time with them. But as soon as I meetall their criterias they approved me right away. The only thing I was missing was the 6th month diet. They do want you to meet all criterias.
Best wishes
Barb
