insurance papers faxed to insurance

Well, it's been a long journey to get here but my surgeons office let me a message that they faxed over my papers to my insurance for approval. So now the waiting game goes on. I should know within two weeks. Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me.....((Hugs)) Molly

Hey Molly! I know how frustrating waiting on insurance can be, b/c I work for a large insurance company. Just keep tight and I am sure everything will work out well for you. While I was waiting on mine to be approved I called every day, the ladies in the auth dept. knew me by name and new everything about me by the time my auth came. They were even excited for me when it finally approved. They were probably just excited that they wouldn't have to talk to me anymore..... but at least I got thier attention, they knew I would be calling. Lol! HI Molly That is so awesome I had mine faxed in last week. Its so exciting but the hardest part is the wait. I WAS TOLD 2- 6 WEEKS. But I was told by someone through Vsg messageboard to start calling and bugging the now. What do you think? Nicole Holland Ohio

Hi Nicole, I would definately call them and verify that they have received the fax. My dr office told me to wait and call my insurance this Friday. I called Tuesday instead and found out they never got the fax. I would have lost even more days. I did get a call this am and they have the fax now. Never hurts to call them.....You are the consumer...
