Need advice...

I am 9 days Post op, lap rny, today I felt ( and feel) like I have the flu. started this afternoon and keeps progressing. ( whole body aches, like I wa**** by a truck,constant diarrhea since this morning, 101 fever, arm still very sore from a messed up IV at the hospital last friday night, and basically just feel horrible). I called my doc, and told me to come in tomorrow if still feeling bad, and to take liquid tylenol. I dont have any liquid tylenol, so I crushed 2 pills and took them. The bottle said not to crush, but I didnt have a choice, need the fever to go down. To make a very long story short, why cant we crush tylenol> Just curious, Thanks, Michelle

Michelle, Im not sure why. But if you get any worse go on to the ER where you had your surgery. Do not mess around. I hope you feel better. Drink pleanty of fluids. Dont get dhydrated Hugs Barb

Michelle, Being so early post op I would get myself checked out as soon as possible. An infection can have many of the symptoms that you are talking about. And you dont want to get too dry and get really sick. So Please get to the Dr today... Let us know how you are doing. Hugs Laura
