Attention, Ohio Lap Banders

Hi, everybody, I was just wondering if anyone has gone through Cincinnati Weight Loss Center or Dayton Bariatric Center (affiliated with Grandview & Good Sam)? The Cinci. one does ONLY lap bands, no other w.l. surgeries whatsoever and I like the idea of that, but right now I have my appt. with Dayton Bar. Ctr. I wondered if anyone else has used either of them, or where other Ohioans have gone through for their lap bands. Thanks!!!!!!!!! Btw, my appt. to meet the Dayton surgeon is Fri. the 13 th!! Jennifer, Granted I'm not having a lap band, I'm having my surgery in Columbus through OSU. But, since you are considering Cincinnati WLC I would look into Trace Curry from Cincinnati. Everyone swears by him and if you check under Bariatric Surgeons on the left here, you will see his track record. In fact you can check all of the surgeons there. Good Luck! Peggy

Hello I am going to Allison Clarey out of dayton I am having my surgery done on Oct 6 in 2 days My sister had dr. Clarey Also she seems really great!!! I am having the Lap RNY!! I looked into have the Lap Band But my docotrs said that if your main thing with eating food is sweets, that the lap Band is not as effected beacause you instestine are not re routed !!!!

Hi, I was originally looking into Barix Clinics in Columbus, since that is closest to home. I opted instead to go with Dr. Curry after hearing so many great things about him on this website. I had first consultation on 8/31 and surgery 9/22 (self-pay so didn't have to wait for insurance). I would highly recommend that you at least talk with him Good luck, Judy

Dr. Curry did my surgery on Aug 28th. I went in on Monday morning and was out the same day at 2 pm. I went back to work on Thursday. I had my first fill last week and had lost 28 pounds already. I think that speaks for itself. Sandy
