hair loss
Hey guys,
Yes the hair loss does stop. At least mine has. I am 9 months out and down 120 lbs and started losing more hair around 4 months out and quit about 6 months out. I am 54 yo and would lose a little hair in my comb every morning prior to surgery. Since the hair loss stopped, I lose hardly any at all in my comb each morning. That has been a big plus for me as I still have a full head of used to be red now more strawberry blond hair and am proud of it. I did not take anything special just made sure I got my 50 to 75 grams of protein each day.
Hope this helps.
BTW Darlene, you are a very beautiful lady.
Have a great day.

Mine has started falling out like crazy also. I called Dr Mikami's nurse and she said if I am getting my protien in, and I am, the main reason for the hair loss is the rapid wt loss. My surgery was May 4 and i have lost 65 #. She said I could try Biotin suppilements and shampoo( found at GNC) but that the hair loss usually stops on it's own at around 9 months. I am so glad I had a very thick full head of hair to beging with
I lost hair starting at 4months and it stopped about 6mths. I tried all the stuff but nothing happened. My hair is so fine anyway you saw scalp no matter what I did. Its growing back in. I have about 1in of new baby hair all over. I am trying to let it grow out but I am so tempted to get it cut real short. Hang in there everyone it stops.
