Hi everyone, I am 4 months post-op today and down 70 pounds. I am feeling good & so blessed to be able to have had this surgery. My encouragement to anyone who is struggling with an insurance company to have this surgery is to never give up. Keep pressing onward. Get a new job that has insurance coverage if you must! It is so worth it to be able to live life more abundantly. I am so thankful for where I am now, and I will never forget where I have come from. Hugs, Darlene

Wow, What a beautiful woman you are!!!! You are firming up really nice. What excercise are you doing.... Im doing 1hr 20 minutes a day now. 4 x a week./ The smaller I get the harder it is to tone. I am in a 6-8 size pants. I am 148 and 5`8 people are calling me to thin. I am 11 months out . I dont want to lose my curves. My breast have really shrunk to a size 36c. Looks like your not going to lose yours. If not your lucky. I miss my big breast. I wear a gel bra from victoria secret that helps me have larger breast. I dont think I will need any more sugerys. Not unless I get any smaller and the excercise stops tightening my skin. I knew you would do great !! Hugs Barb

Hi Barb, Sorry, I just got home from vacationing in Florida. I am mostly just speed walking with my girlfriends. I too am wearing 8's & 6's. I can't believe it sometimes. I still would like to lose about 30 more pounds though. My big problem right now is this dang hair loss. I'm taking Biotin, Zinc, & getting protein shakes in, but it keeps coming out. I may look into buying a nice thick wig! You look great in your new pics! Hugs, Dar

Darlene, You look terrific. I read your profile and it is so encouraging. I also loved that poem Woman in the Mirror. Would you mind if I copy it and post it on our Over 50's forum? I'm just getting started. I'm going through OSU and have my dietitian and psych appts. Sept. 7th. I also have a 12 wk. wl program to complete. I'm hoping to have my surgery the first part of 2007.
