Dr. C?

Dr. Curry: First of all thank you for taking a look at this website, its amazing a Doctor takes this time and it is apparent you care very much! I posted 8/23 about having alot of body pain all over. Others have posted the same and we all thought with losing the weight it would get better not the same or worse. Have you found this with any of your patients? and what would you contribute it to? I especially have it in my shins, thighs and back. Thank you, Melisa

Melisa, I really haven't noticed that, most patients seem to tell me they have less pain. C

Hey Dr. C., I haven't talked to you forever. I was wondering I am having a gallbladder ultra sound on Thurs. morning and if I have to have it taken out would you do my surgery? I really don't want someone who doesn't know anything about WLS doing it. I've been having alot of upper back pain and alot of discomfort after eating. I'm also belching alot and after eating I have sharp pain all the way thru to my back. Hope your new office is going great for you. Mel, I too was in terrible pain prior to surgery....and for about the first couple of months after. But once I was able to start really working out, the pain is much better. I think building strong muscles to support the skeleton stucture is what helped me the most! I am not saying that I am completely without pain, but it is miminal now. I have had arthritis since I was in my early 20's, and two hip surgeries, so I doubt that I will ever be pain free. I do know that I would not feel as good as I do today without having had my RNY ( with the Great Dr. Curry, I might add!) so...I say give it some time and exercise! Best of luck to you! Mary
