I have been doing pretty good lately but I have started having problems with energy. Right after and for about 7 months after my surgery I had plenty of energy. I could go night and day get 6-7 hours sleep and hit it again the next day. Over the last two months my second job has picked up quite a bit, but no more than 10 more hours a week. I can't say that has caused my lac of energy but it is all I see that is diffrent. My food intake is also disrupted durring the summer. I have trouble eating when it is hot. To make up for that I fill in with protien shakes and the like. I am not real good at taking my vitamins, but i have never been. What do you use to boost or otherwise maintain your energy levels?

Jeff I have trouble eating when it's hot also just don't feel like it so on them days I choose cold things like chicken or tuna salad and f/f crackers seems easy to get them down on days you just don't feel like eating also you got to get them vitamins down seens they would have A affect on your energy levels best of luck to you Michael

Hey Jeff, now that I am 3 yrs out I do everything I can to stay healthy..one thing I did notice was my energy level sinking..I changed my vitamins and take them religously..that has helped a great deal.. I take a multivitamin, calcium, B1 (thiamin) B-12 and iron...I do know that you can end up with serious problems if you do not take your vitamins so be very careful, you may want to have your blood work drawn to double check.. I had my gallbladder our on the 2nd of Aug..It wipped me out energy wise..but I went back to work the next day for a couple of hours (my husband drove me)..and havn't stopped, I think I didn't get enough rest..I am trying to get enough sleep at night and often times take my energy nap when I get home, just sitting down and trying to relax with my eyes closed..I try very hard to take care of "me" these days...I neglected myself for so long.. Also, getting your fluids in is very important, it doesn't have to be summer time to get dehydrated....eating the right foods, I find if I steer away from my protein for one reason or another I can tell the difference..you do drinks and that's great!! I do one pretein drink a day (every morning) I just can't seem to get food down that early. Good luck Brenda

Jeff: take your vitamins!!! I don't know about you but it is better than having to take the 7 other medications I used to be on!!!! Are you getting enough hydration? That really effects me and the Dr. also gave me sublingual B12 vitamin. Propel seems to boost me pretty well and get my day started, I drink 16 ounces on the way to work. If I don't start off drinking first thing I can never catch up.... the other fact is you have a 2nd job!!! I don't care what anyone says, have some fun too!!!! Mel

Thanks for the replies, I seem to be doing everthing but taking my vit's every day. I sat them by the coffee pot tonight so I will have to ignore them once a day to miss them. I have never been good at taking meds. I will work on it. I took one tonight and it was like a boost, but in a week I won't feel it at all, but that dosen't mean it is not doing anything. Thanks.

Wow What A day. I started feeloing bad last thursday. It is not unusual for me to get my sugar screwed up and not feel well. Strange thing is I kept getting worse. This morning I almost passed out on the way home from work. I came home threw up several times and was chained to the bathroom. I went to bed and the wife got me up to MAKE me see the doc. I thought I had been a bit over full, but was too bullheaded to get an apointment. Long story short. I am not sure it had anything to do with the band but after some fill was removed I could take in water and felt better in short order. While I still feel like crap, I feel better than this morning.
