Good Morning. 1. If you have lost a significant portion of your weight yet... did you wear a bra when you slept? If you didn't, do you wish now that you had? Do you think it makes any difference at all? 2. I have been experiencing some weird feelings in my abdomen. Like things are moving around in there on their own.. Any one else having or had that? 3. My skin on my tummy ... can't describe it exactly... kinda burns, kinda hurts.... does anyone know something to help that? It hurts to have anything touch it. Thanks so much, Barbara

Barbara I can relate to the weird feeling in your stomach like things are moving around, My surgeon Dr. Schreiber at St V's said it is just the muscles and stuff contacting trying to get back to somewhat normal. He said it's perfectly normal I felt that feeling for about the first 5-6 weeks then it stopped. I am 11 weeks post-op and down 75lbs, good luck in your journey. Jim

Thanks for sharing, Jim! I went and read your updated profile.... you had a rough time for a while there. I am glad this new med is working so well. I keep forgetting that you live so close.... what support group do you attend? I have been looking into the one in North Canton/Akron... I'm just not sure where to go. St. V's is pretty far. Take care and Great Job for the 75 lbs Barbara

There is a support group that meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month in North Canton. It meets at John Knox Presbytrian Church by Start State College and Kent...the Strip..etc. It starts at 7 p.m. and is very informal. Let me know if you would like more details. Sue 320/goal130/current 120

Dear Barb, I have lost 190 lbs. so far and have never worn my bra when I slept, except when I fell asleep in the chair. And no, I don't wish I had done it. I don't think it would have made a difference at all. Of course, I only went from a D cup to a b/c. Can't answer your other questions, but I will tell you that I am thrilled with my surgery results. Went from a size 30/32 to a 13/14 so far. Good luck. Linda 367/179/??

Hi Linda! I must be the slowest poster this side of the Mississippi! Better get my tail in gear! Ha! I am glad to know about the bra thing. I am -was- a D cup and figuring I'll end up a c or b cup, I thought maybe .... things wouldn't get so well... yucky But I guess whatever will be.. will be que sera... que sera... (most here are probably too young to remember Doris Day ha ha) Thanks. Wow, 367 to 179 that is awesome. Hope I do as well, hugs, Barbara

Morning Miss Barbara... Good to see you up and posting. My skin felt on edge for several weeks.. Just like a creepy crawly feeling, not pain but just an uneasy discomfort. I felt it was because of the nerves being disrupted and my guts did feel like they were doing flip flops in there as well. It almost felt like a baby kicking at times, I even called it Baby Hughey.. LOL I just kept a good vitamin e lotion on it to promote good healing and drank my carnation instant breakfast which my nurse said really promoted good healing of the incisions. And believe it or not I was in the pool at 3 weeks post op doing simple water aerobics. So I must of been doing something right. I have always had very large bazooomas and have always felt comfortable in a nice comfy cotton sports type bra at night. So wearing a bra to sleep in has always been second nature to me. I dont know why I do it, there is no medical reason, just a comfort issue with me. Now that I am down from a 52 DD to a 36 c I could most likely go braless. But I just like the feeling of support and it keeps the back pain at bay. I am so happy to see you up and posting. Look at you go.. You are moving ahead in record time. Just remember we Love you and are so very proud of you here!!! Love ya Miss Laura
