I'm back, 77pounds lighter!

Well I returned to Columbus after spending a month in Stuart Florida. Since I am between jobs and my husband is a teacher we had the once in a lifetime opportunity to stay at my parent's winter home. We had such a wonderful time with the kids. It was a great time to get me motivated to find a job now. I waited until I returned and was happy to see the scale for the first time in my life! I just looked back at the older posts to catch up, the internet was dial up down there! I need to focus on protein as I am having alot of hair loss, yuck!!!! Mel

A chance to start fresh can be a great thing! I am struggling with protein too. Dr BAtes at the Barix told me about a drink by EAS. Called Advant Edge carb control they are silver and come in a 4 pack. I got mine at the pharmacy at krogers... the 1st protein drink I caould stand... and they have a coffe one that is in a box, looks like sarbucks... cafe caramel!! pretty tastey... Thay have carb control bars too.... Peace~pam

Mel, Dont stress too much over the hair loss. I lost 100 pounds in my first few months and my hair became really thin. Dr Mikami told me to start taking the biotin and recommended the nioxin treatment shampoo and gel. I found the kits at Sally's beauty supply for about $15.00 for a months supply. Just know that this is a temporary situation and your hair will come back better and healthier than ever. I swore even if I went completly bald the WLS was still worth it. Thanks Guys! I am going to try the products suggested. I can live with the hair thing, I went through an episode of alapecia(sp?) several years ago and know how to hide it pretty well. I love pretty scarves, so I'll set a new trend! The coffee advantage sounds good, could be my morning drink! I just got another type I haven't tried it yet will let you know it has 42g per drink/ Mel
