Dr. Sonnanstine
Hi Karen, I have a co-worker who went to him. We both started last August. I had my surgery 3-06-06 by Dr Curry. She has had alot of trouble with the approval because the office messed up her paperwork. They had wrong dates & even had her name wrong on some of thepaperwork. She has just about given up on the surgery, at least with that office.
Mix ups can happen in any office and have..that hopefully will never be a reflection on any surgeons skills..
Dr. Sonnanstine is an excellent surgeon with a great training back ground and beside manner to match..The reason I chose him to do my gallbladder just yesterday. I went into the OR at 10am and back home by 3pm, I have no pain, and no nausea.
I have known him for a couple of years and watched his work, he is compassionate with a bedside manner that matches..
please email me if you would like more information about him..

Karen,
I just had my surgery a week ago. I was very pleased with everything. I started the program in April, and would have had the surgery a month ago, but I got sick and had to push some appointments back a month. In fact, I completed my psych eval and dietitian appointment on a Wednesday (need to complete before scheduling for surgery), and they called me the following Tuesday with my insurance approval and to schedule my surgery.
The REASON I picked Dr. Sonnanstine is because of how quickly the process moved. That, and how hell-bent Dr. Tom is on performing the procedure laproscopically. I really don't have any complaints about the program or Dr. Tom.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to email me or send me a message via OH.
Good luck!
