Grandama Baby Girl !!!!!

I am so happy !!!! Im going to have a grandaughter !!!! I have 3 grandsons age 8- 3-4 Now I finally get my baby girl. What a great day... my daughter found out this morning. Also she is 5 months pregnant is it normal for them to not be able to measure the anomomty cant (sp) They said she needs to come back in a few weeks. because they couldnt get the measurments of the head and heart. Is this normal at 5 months. Just concerned. grandmas worry. Pam you might know this answer. Thanks barb

Congratulations! The measurement thing can happen, depending on how stubburn the baby is. Sometimes they just won't get in the right position to get a good read. Sometimes curled up or won't turn enough...At least she was in the right position to see that it was a girl. My third would not give us a peek at all on any ultrasound. In all of life babies are the best miracle!

Barb i am so happy for you baby girls are sooo much fun i have 2 lillte girls and they are the light of my life ... i WISH we had a grandma here in town to spoil them .. but daddy and i seem to do a good enough job of that LOL just thnk of all the fun shopping you will do .. i just had a yardsale last weekend trying to get rid of some stuff and it is obsecne the amount of clothes these girls of mine have had LOL Keep us posted on how things are going ... Hey Barb.. how exciting! I have never ~not been able to get measurements of the baby at 5 months. Closer to term it is harder especially if the head is tucked way down in the pelvis. If I take the time to work with it I can get it. were they just doing a routine sonogram? We don't measure the heart but we do make sure it has 4 chambers and get a heart rate. I am not sure why they would make her come back. let me know how it goes in 2 weeks.. and cangrats! I love my granddaughters!!! blessings pam

They was doing the altrosound to find the sex of the baby. Paula told me the tech said that was the first time in 2 years she couldnt get the baby to move so she could get a Measurment. Paula also said it wasnt a enternal altrosound it was on her stomach. I thought they only do enternal exsames (Spelling is bad cant think tonight). Paula was concerned and the tech told her everything seems okay. The baby wasnt going to budge. She has her other one aug26 Im going with her. I want to see the baby also. I am sure it is just the baby being very stubborn or to sleepy and she was turned showing her sex with no problem. This is her second baby. She was alittle concerned because she fell down her basement steps a few weeks ago. I told her the baby is very safe. She fell on her bottom so Im sure all is fine. Just a stubborn or tired little girl. I will let you know once I find out. Also do you think if something was wrong they would wait until aug26 ? Seems like they would check things out sooner.
