Attn. Dr. Curry Patients
Can someone tell me why I am unable to see Dr. Curry at his new office? I had surgery at Deaconess last year and now I am being told that I can't see Dr. Curry at his new office! I am not fond of the staff at Deaconess, as they are not helpful or very kind. The girls at his new office (and his original crew)...I love!!! Erin, Tracy, Charity-they were all so helpful and supportive and with me every step of the way. I feel like they are family and they always made me feel so comfortable. I got myself so upset over this that I even called the hospital administration to complain. They told me that I could see Dr. Curry at his new office...so, problem solved, right?? NOT! I then called Dr. Curry's office and spoke to Tracy and she said that Dr. Curry couldn't see me there, only at Deaconess. Is Dr. Curry a puppet now? I know he would see me at his new office if he could, so Deaconess obviously did not tell me the truth. I feel like they are interfering with my care! Erin is a wonderful dietitian, yet I can't see her. Anyone else going thru this? This has to be illegal or something.
Well, as sure as I am standing here I will NEVER EVER go to Deaconess Hospital for ANYTHING ever again!!! Neither will any of my friends or family. They are just as mad as I am. I bet Deaconess thinks they are keeping patients this way, and in reality they are losing them. I wouldn't have gone to Deaconess in the first place if Dr. Curry wasn't there! Evidently Deaconess must be struggling to stay afloat. Why else would they do this? Well, Deaconess, i hope you sink!!!!
Can I just say I agree with all of you. I want to see Dr. C at the new office also but I am hopeing that at my yr. checkup I will be released from his care there and then I can go see him at the new office. There has to be a way around all this mumbojumbo stuff. Anyway, remember just because you cant see the staff during your office visit doesnt mean you cant stop in and see them. I love Erin, Tracy and Charity, they are good friends and part of my family, as well as Dr. C..............Pam
I have the same problem! I say we start a class action lawsuit against Deaconess because they are stopping us from seeing our doctor and his staff. I cannot stand the staff at Deaconess! Everytime I see him at Deaconess the receptionist asks my name and if I have had surgury yet. Why doesn't she know me? I bet Charity knows me and I haven't seen her in 4 months! Nobody ever asks how you are doing or anything!
We have to fix this problem@!

As an outsider in all of this I have a stupid question ..but as a reader I am a bit lost..so lets get clarity for anyone just starting the process...
Can you just tell me this, if you are just signing up as a new patient for Dr. Curry, do you still have to see him at Deaconess and not at his office..I am confused about the two staff thing, one at the hospital and one at his office thing..
I could email Dr. curry to explain but not so sure he isn't upset about all of this himself..
anyway if you could please explain slowly about what is going on and if new patients are affected...if you are seeking surgery with Dr. Curry where do you start? does he have his own seminar?? do I seem lost and confused??
I do think I remember reading that if you start the process through "his" new office you can see him there and his old staff, correct?
boy sounds like Deaconess is biting off their nose to spite their face...
I would urge everyone to give the new staff at Deaconess a chance, they are skilled professionals *****ally care about the patients. Busy surgeons (like me) often have more than one offfice with different staffs. I hope you'll work with me in recognizing both offices, but it is my undrestanding (after doing some investigation) that if you are a past patient and want to work with the people you are most familiar with, that can be arranged. On both sides of the street, we all just want what is best for the patients!
In the words of Rodney King, can't we all just get along?
