Hi, I recieved a letter back from my insurace company today. They approved my request for surgery on my arms, but denied my request for pannilectomy (sp?). I have a hernia and was expecting that this would help my case for them approving my surgery. Any suggestions on how to deal with an appeal? The surgeon's office suggests that I need to be able to present evidence of rashes and the like. I didn't have that happen. I have used over the counter 'stuff' to prevent that from happening...consequently, I have no evidence! Thanks for your suggestions. V.

wow... good for you for getting anything covered... How did you get them to cover your arms?? If they will cover that they should be able to cover your TT. Find out exactly why they denied you and then address that specific problem. Call your insurance and find out in what instance this is a covered benefit and then make the ocumentation happen....good luck.....diane
