HELP - not loosing
My surgery was 5/19. I did have some complications and spent 9 days in the hospital but am ok now. I lost 42 pounds in the first month but am having trouble losing now. I have followed the plan and not deviated.
My incision is still open so exercise is delayed. I am walking some but have knee problems.
Any suggestions before I become hopeless ?!
Thanks, Teresa
Teresa, hang in there...I know it's hard when you are having problems but things will start happening for you. it seems slow in the beginning but as you heal and can do more the weight will drop off....it's barely been two months and you have lost 42 lbs since surgery. When was the last time you lost that much weight in that small amount of time?
stay off the scales and concentrate on something else..I just got a new cookbook from a group of patients in Georgetown Ky..it looks great, I am going to try some of the recipes because I want to be as compliant as I can in my every day life..start out being compliant and life will be so much easier later down the road. At two months you should be following a strict plan given by the center, after about 3 months you will be eating more variety and looking for new things to eat..
it's fun learning a new lifestyle!!!
hang in there it does get better, there is no way you will NOT lose weight...

Hi Teresa,
Come check out the May 2006 board. We seem to be going through the same phases. My weight loss was extreme at the beginning too, but now comes & goes..usually closely related to "that" time of month too. Hang in there!
