Columbus-great LapBand surgeons?????

I am looking for names of great Columbus LapBand surgeons. I am beginning to research local doctors and trying to locate the ones with great pre/post op programs and support groups. Has anyone had LapBand surgery and can share their experience? Thanks!!!!!

I am a little confused Mattie, you say Columbus area but you have Dr. Watkins as your surgeon...isn't he from the southern Ohio area close to West Chester/Mason area? I know he is new and I am very curious about him..I am a bit uncomfortable with a new office, new doc and new staff...and the fact they are doing a ton of advertising..do your home work about the procedure and ask tons of questions.. good luck Brenda

Brenda, I went to one of Dr. Watkins seminars and was impressed by his presentation. I thought of him as my surgeon at the time, but had not made a definite decision. (That's why I referred to him as my surgeon.) I agree that many questions need to be answered before making such an important decision!!!! After visiting on the Message Boards and getting more information I have decided to continue my research. I have read a lot of positive things about Dr. Curry in Cincinnati and will pursue more answers. I live in the Columbus area and and am considering having the surgery here due to personal reasons and I will need to be close to home. That's why I am asking about people who have had great experiences with Columbus area surgeons. Thanks for your reply. Mattie
