Insurance question????

What is the difference between PPO and HMO? Is one easier to get approved with? The insurance is Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Kansas City. I have to choose from Preferred-Care PPO, Preferred-Care Blue PPO, Blue-Advantage HMO, or Blue-Care HMO and I dont know which one I would have better luck with. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it!!! Thanks!!!

Hi Tammy The PPOs may be easier, but I would call each one and ask them what their criteria are so there's no misunderstanding. And, I would call at least twice and see if you get the same answer. Sharyn

We have BC/BS Anthem HMO. I have called and spoke to them and everyone at my clinic says with my particular plan approval is guaranteed as long as the doc says medically ness. No diet time, no hoops.
