surgeon info in cleveland

i was all set with my doctor in boston to get the lap band, but now i may be moving to cleveland!!! has anyone gotten their lapbands in cleveland and were you happy with your doctor? from what i can see online there is the cleveland clinic or st vincents.... i know nothing about cleveland stuff, please help!!

Hi Sara, Welcome to Cleveland. I am a big fan of my city and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. I am also a big fan of St Vincents. SVC has been doing surgery longer than any hospital in the area and does a wonderful job. They do offer the lap band. If you look, you can see that SVC is one of the top hospitals in the country for gastric bypass surgery. Cleveland Clinic is also a good hospital. It is well known for its heart care. Sara, I had a roun ny at cleveland st.Vincents charity hospital. I'm not familiar with the program at the cleveland clinic. Dr.Helmet schrieber and his associates ben-meir and sonpal have the most experience in our area and are considered the gold standard. I had Dr.Schrieber do my surgery and was in capable hands. Dr.Ben-meir assisted also. Their program is a member of the bariatrics program of excellence. Check out their web site and the profile of both doctors on this web site.
