Dr C see patients at Deaconess but he has his NEW office at 513.559.1222 or 877.442.BAND. Deaconess will not let me (a prior Deaconess patient) go to his new office. I have had HORRIBLE service through deaconess but am FORCED to go to his old office. SO MUCH FOR FREEDOM IN AMERICA! I urge any new patient who wants AWESOME service to go to his new office. This is my opinion but I am sure others will agree.

If at all possible, see him at his new office.

America, my foot.... America is now run by the insurance companies!! Dr. C cannot see you at his office if you were, originally, a Deaconess patient. Otherwise he will be open to a lawsuit. It also might have something to do with the insurance -- he might have to use a diff provider id for his private office vs the hospital, i don't know for sure. My husband got a new job, and even though we still have UHC I have to go thru the re-approval process to have my fills covered. IDIOTS! But I still have to remain the Deaconess patient. (what a pain) The GOOD news is that Erin and the hosp nutritionist might be holding the support group meetings together.!!!!! I will be going back then, otherwise those meetings were too boring. Rita

Not to add to the distain, but I called in and got a appointment, At Deconess. Aparently I can't see him at his new office. END RESULT. So be it..... I don't like it, but Dr Curry is my DR. and I don't plan to go anywhere else. I don't care for Deconess, but I will put up with them to keep DR. Curry as a DR. I do miss the old crew,

I may be speaking out of turn here, but I have only been to the Deaconess location, and the orginal staff was not there when I went, but the staff at his office at deaconess is very, very kind and attentive. Rebecca Erdman the dietician has been so very helpful to me, I have called and email at strange times and she always replys promptly. Last pre-op visit she gave me her cell phone number, if I needed her. I also think we need to give Dr. Curry some credit also, he is a great person and surgeon and he will surround himself with the best no matter what the location. Its just a thought from me, but trying to spread some light from the other side of the issue. Linda Bell

That has not been the case here. Also, the letter I recieved and how Deaconess has kept Mum regarding the situation. They told me that he was leaving at the begining of the year. Now, the won't let him leave. I should be able to go to what office I choose. This was not an insurance matter. My insurance (both) covers either place. I have had to resort to e-mailing him or posting a message here inorder to contact Dr.C. One of those times was a rather urgent time when I ended up having surgery the next day. But, my phone calls were not returned or I went to voicemail. I am TOTALLY dedicated to Dr.C. But, it is hard to have confidence when I went through these issues. This has happenned to two other people that I personally know too.

Karii, I am sorry if my posting sounded insensitive, it was not meant to. I was just trying to help with showing another side of the story. I am sorry for any problems you have been through, I just have not. Best wishes to you. Linda Bell

I first saw Dr Curry 8-18-05. I loved the staff. I had my surgery 3-06-06. I have lost about 90 pounds since surgery (had to also lose 60 before surgery). I have had nothing but trouble with the new office staff. Last week I was having trouble keeping food down. I was scheduled for an EGD Friday 7-21. When Angie called with the time she did not tell me that I needed someone to drive me home because they put you out for this. I was by myself & couldn't find anywhy to get home so I had to have the EGD awake, I hate to have anything even t-shirts tight around my neck so that was very hard. Someone even called to pre-register me the day before & they also said nothing about this. Dr Curry did have to expand something inside so I could eat so I can continue to lose weight (what a concept). On Monday 7-24 someone from the hospital called & asked my wife how she was doing after having the EGD. She told them she didn't have it I did, how bad are thier records?????? When I was called by Dr Currys office the same day they just wanted to know how I was feeling (much better). I also had a gall bladder ultrasound the same day as the EGD. I asked if that was OK, Angie had no idea & said she would call me back & let me know. It's now Friday 7-28 & I still have not found out. I called this morning & Rebecca said someone will call me back. I hope everything is OK because I may never know if it's not. I wish I could also see Dr Curry at the new office that I now have to walk right past when I see him at the old office. I will never go to Deaconess for anything other to see Dr Curry & I have no problem letting everyone I know how bad it is there. Sorry this is so long but I just had to get it off my chest. On the same note, I wonder how many approvals have been received by patients with the new staff, I hope all but I'm sure it's not alot.
