Pain Question Dr C or anyone

I am 5 days post op lap rny doing pretty good then today i started with a SHAP pain in my lower left side only coms when i reach to far or lift my left leg .. am i nutso or is this part of the healing process ... Thanks Missy

You might have pulled a stitch internally I did this and had about the same symptoms. Remember you haven't healed totally and won't for a while. Unless you are in tons of pain and running a fever you are probably ok, but should call your doctor for advice if you are still concerned and worried.

I always had pains on my lower left side. I think it is where alot of the work was done. But if it continues ask your Dr. Glad your home and doing so well. I bet your losing weight Hugs barb

I had a pain sort of to the left and slightly below my belly button. I actually did it to myself when since I was feeling so great, I tried to retrieve a UPS box from the front porch four days after surgery. I am so wuss and this was sharp enough to make me squeak and I was sure I had broken something since I had nearly no pain from surgery! Dr. C said it was an internal stitch and advised me not to lift anything else and wrote me a script for some very nice painkillers which I only took for a few days (saving the rest for Y3K I guess. ) Karen -137 since 12/05/05
