Honey, I'm home!

Hey everyone! I had my lap RNY on Wednesday and I came home yesterday. I have my good moments and also the bad (when the pain medicine starts to fade and am an hour away from my next dose. Ouch!) I'm staying at my parent's house to camp out on their recliner as I don't want to brave the bed quite yet. My mom has been taking really good care of me, too! Nothing like having a mom around to nurse ya back to health! She's been fixing my jell-o, juices and broths. I never knew chicken broth and cream of chicken soup was so good! lol I'm having some issues with my drain, though. I've been averaging about 12-17ccs of discharge, and earlier this evening, I had to dump out 72 ccs of discharge! That scared the heck outta me. I'm hoping it was because I was drinking more fluid. It looks like it's getting better, but if not, I'll be calling the dr tomorrow. I also have some dried yellow discharge around the staples of the largest incision. There's not much, but it had me woried. I also see some busted blood vessels around the incision, so I'm going to keep my eye on those. They just look like little red dots. I'm hoping all of this is normal. I also had a little episode of drinking a liquid vitamin that I purchase at GNC. It tastes like crap and also had me break out into a cold sweat for a few minutes. I then had my husband go out and buy me the flintstones vitamins instead. Whew! I hope it gets better from here on out!

Good luck on the losing side.Glad you are doing so well. I am not too thrilled with my viamin either. I have a generic flintstone. It taste like sweet tarts. I think I have out grown sweet tarts. I shall overcome this also.
