In memory of Jim Rook
Many of you may seen the news report about the tragic death of Jim Rook, he and his wife were killed by a drunk driver in Florida on Saturday. He was well known throughout the city as being the drummer/singer for the band "Fast Forward." What you may not know is that he was a surgical assistant at Deaconess and helped me on many lap bands and gastric bypasses. I'm sure there are many people on this board who were benefited by his skilled hands at assisting, and he will be sorely missed. He is survived by his 14 year old daughter and 23 year old son. Makes you realize life is short.

I am sorry to hear of the loss I will keep his family in my thoughts. You are one class A doctor to take the time to post this news, most docs would say they don't have the time to do this. But this just shows that you truly are a very caring person and your patients are very lucky to have you as there doctor.

Hi Dr. Curry
I had no idea this family was connected to you. I lived in Blue Ash for 30 years until I got married. I still have my little house there. What a horror for his children and all those who loved him and will be deprived of his company.
Is there anything a person such as me can do to help? It is so awful. That is part of what drives me..... Life is short.
