Jewish weightloss center??
Hi Crystal..I know Dr. Fegelman but other than that I don't know much about it..I do coach 3 ladies who had RNY there, I actually had no idea they did lapband. there was a time you had to do the liquid diet plan the sell there..not sure if that's still a requirement or not. Good luck with the lapband..

Hi Crystal,
I had RNY gastric bypass surgery at Jewish and can't say enough about how happy I am with my results. The lap band was added after I had my surgery, so I can't speak about that with any authority. I can say that the thing I valued the most was the way they had their support groups structured. When I went through the program, you attended for 4 weeks as a pre-op and others in the support group were going into surgery and then returning to the group, so you could see people with your own eyes immediately post-op and hear from them exactly what they were going through. I found this very comforting. As for cost, I don't really know what programs cost, but it seems like anyone considering any type of weight loss surgery should go to one of their free orientation sessions and hear for yourself what they have to offer. Fot the record, I have lost 195 pounds and have kept it off and my surgery was 3 years ago! GOOD LUCK!
Wow Karen!! You lost an entire person. I am so happy for you. You give me inspiration, I want to lose 100 lbs!!!! some more would be fine with me
I'm leaning towards Jewish only because I am so familiar witht hem. We'll see. and honesltyit seems to be one of the cheaper routes for me right now.

Crystal, I had lapband surgery at Jewish with Dr. Fegelman. It has been a great success. Surgery was in Nov. with my first fill the end of January. The only additional fee that I paid was 500. to the weightloss center. This was money well spent .There was absolutely no pressure to participate in the liquid diet. I have lost 80 pounds and more importantly ,I feel healthier than I have in years. Good Luck!
