an idea, plastic surgeon meeting

Here is an idea ...so many of us are looking for plastic surgery either now or in the near future..if I have enough people interested and you want to travel to Cincy..I can set up a seminar meeting with Dr. Martin, but I need to know if we would have enough people who would want to do it..I am pretty sure I can get him to agree to this as he visits support groups all the time. he shows alot of before and after pics..explains in detail many procedures, then answers lots of Q and A's... let me know if you would be interested in attending a meeting such as this and I will set it up.. Depending on the place, date and time, I would be interested in just getting information, not ready yet but would be interested....Maybe we can have a dinner meeting...Thanks Brenda........Pam

Pam, I would love to put a workshop together with some of the local docs ...Dr. Curry, Dr. Martin, etc. but to have a dinner meeting we would have to rent a place as we can't have Dr. Martin showing his slides in a public place..it needs to be very private. I do have a hall in mind just outside Milford about 5 miles from 275...I will check to see how much they will rent it to me and cater if for. I want to keep this at a minimal charge so everyone can afford to come...or those who just want to come for the socializing which we can do after. I would love to make it into a mini conference...I have contacts with many of the vendors who support OH and I know they would send me supplies and samples.. I am working in it now...I will let you know Brenda

Haven't had surgery yet, but in about a year, I plan on having a preventative masectomy and reconstructive surgery. At that time, I'm hoping to see if I can get a surgeon to do my arms, too. I'm def. interested!

On my support group sheet, it says that on July 12th, Dr. Martin is hosting that month's group meeting and it is about plastic surgeries. It will be at my surgeon's office building which is right in front of Sycamore hospital in Dayton by the Dayton Mall.

thanks for the info NIki, I had planned on coming to that meeting but my daughter is getting married this Sat...not sure I can fit that night in my schedule but I would love to attend. I have been to the hospital visiting Dr. Schumacher in the past so I know where the office is, what time does the meeting start? Dr. Martin is very entertaining, you will enjoy hearing him talk.. I believe it starts at 7pm. Really? I didn't get that impression from him when I walked past him on one of my "laps" in the hospital. He seemd very serious and stern. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it tomorrow though as I am having some very sharp pains in my lower abdomen the past two days. Good luck with your daughter's wedding!

You passed Dr. MArtin the plastic surgeon at your hospital?..I didnt' know he worked at Sycamore, I thought he only went to Christ and U.C. and yes he is very funny, great personality. I am not sure I can make it tomorrow evening either, my daughter and I will be in Dayton with the photographer to have her pre-wedding pics taken. She will want to get back home since her fiance is here in town now and only has a few days untl he goes back to Iraq..otherwise I would drag her to the meeting with me. Hmmm.. There must be another Dr.Martin then. There is a Martin surgeon in the group that Dr.S is a part of. I remember all the pre-wedding stress...good luck! Who is the photographer? I also do wedding photography as a freelance kind of thing. Tell her fiance "thank you" for serving our country for me!
