Has anyone else had to endure dealing with an infection along your incision after surgery?? Mine was just discovered this past Monday, 2 weeks post-op. I now have a drain tube that will be in for @ 2 weeks. It's a minor setback, but I was feeling so good before this was found. I'm trying to take this in stride, but I'm not as up as I was before Monday.

Sounds like your dr Is right up on it. You will be fine. My incision took over 6 weeks to heal. It kept spliting open. My dr wasnt concerned. My scar is kind of ugly. I have a 10 inch scar. The bottom part is rather wide. I was thinking about having it fixed. But I dont need a TT So I might just live with it. But Dr Martin is the man I would go to. Take Care Barb

Hi April, I had an incisional infection at about 10 days post-op. It ruptured shortly after and I am still packing the wound 3 months later!!! Of course it's much, much smaller and is not infected. It doesn't hurt, but I get frustrated waiting for the wound to close. I hope yours isn't as serious, but if it is, I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. I feel really full of energy these days--I hope you're better soon! Leslie Postel Middleburg Hts., OH
