What are you drinking?
I have found since my surgery that I am lactose intolerant..I can't do any type of milks and believe me I miss them. Some juices bother me because of the high sugar content but I did find Kroger has a light grape-cranberry juice, I put it over ice and delute it just a bit...BUT, I find myself chosing that over my water so I only buy it as a treat. Remember your protein drinks also count as a liquid...so such those babies up in the beginning stage. Keep a glass or bottle of water at your bedside at all times..squeeze some lemon, lime, even orange in a glass of water for a slight flavor and very good aroma.
I hear people say they drink tons of tea to get their fluids in, I am not an expert but I do have kidney problems that developed bofore my WLS..I lost my right kidney so I need to take very good care of the one I have left. My specialist tell me drinking tea is not a good idea as it is a diuretic..he said for every OZ of tea you need to replace it with double the water...so for example if you drink an 8oz glass of tea you must drink 16oz of water...soooo that means even more water, right? ack....It's rare I chose to drink it but do enjoy having it as a change when we are out to dinner...but I was almost 2 yrs. out before I would even do that..I was determined to NOT have a kidney stone during my journey..
good luck sounds like you are doing great with the protein drinks.
