Hello all: I have a question for you. I had surgery April 24th (7 weeks out) and I am feeling hungry. It is not overwhelming hunger, but hunger none the less. I know it is not head hunger. It is true stomach hunger. Has this happened to any of you this soon and what did you do about it??? Thanks Shelster

Hey Shel.......I did not have hunger quite that soon, but mine did return after about 10-12 weeks. I used liquids a lot to squelch it and now I actually seem to take longer to get hungry. I especially felt full if I drank things with dry milk or some type of protein, like liquid yogurt, hot cocoa, tea with milk, supplements, etc. Marty

Your stomach is healing a little more and waking up. Keep to the diet your doc set up for you, but increase the liquids and protein now.

I'm a day after you and sometimes I feel very hungry (stomach rumblies and all!). Fortunately, once I start eating, I don't feel as hungry and get full just as fast. I stick to the eating times I have in the past and only eat in the afternoon if my blood sugar is under 80 and I'm going to work out. I do try to keep my afternoon snack to protein pudding or milk that I have anyway. How's things in Holland? I was born in Swanton and lived in Toledo before I moved here. Melissa
